This is the Essence of our Political Problem

http://www.bostonherald.com/news/columnists/2017/10/graham_flake_corker_arent_changing_any_gop_minds_about_trump

There are far too many people willing to let this behavior slide.  Presidential?  It is not up to the standards I would expect of my children. By that I mean I hold my children who are just learning how to behave need to respect other people... they need to be honest... they need to be firm but compassionate to those weaker than themselves. Why would we not expect the same of "the leader of the free world". Is it really ok for him to be a "jerk" if we approve of his policy? How you treat other humans is a significant piece of policy. That doesn't even touch on the opaque nature of the Trump policy, if there actually is one?

Of course the bigger concern probably should be in the comment section that accompanies this article.  Not merely an acceptance of bad behavior... they celebrate the bully archetype. I am all for the United States standing as a pillar of strength and that requires throwing weight around. It does not require that we bulldoze allies, or worse our own citizens.

This pattern of persecution leading to aggressive lashing out is not acceptable. It happened in Europe in the mid 1900's and didn't work out well for them or their enemies... it was a lose lose and we must stand up for progress of the human race not 'Murica!
