So that Patriots' loss was pretty brutal. Brady did not play great, the defense sucked in the second half and it became obvious, they need someone better than Brandon Lloyd. That said... all of the people claiming they are dead as a team and can't win the big one anymore. Well, f*** you. It is fun for typical losers like the Seahawks or Tyrel Suggs (or however you spell it) to take shots when they finally win a game here and there but the fact is even if the Pats have not won a Super Bowl in a few years they are clearly still the most dominant team in the league with a revolving cast of characters. Their record over the last say 5 years? 60-20. Oh yeah, 4 conference championships with only one year they missed w/ an 11-5 record and Brady hurt. And 2 Super Bowls. The Ravens? 54-26 and 2 conference titles no Super Bowls. The Giants won the 2 Super Bowls (good for them) but have only been 48-32 and been very fortunate certainly in 2012. The Packers, 53-27 with 2 conference titles and one Super Bowl appearance and win. The Steelers are really the only comparable team... 53-27 w/ 2 Super Bowl appearances and 1 win.
So if you think consistent conference dominance and always having a chance at a Super Bowl as failure? Well, try being the Falcons. Or Baltimore next year when they miss the playoffs. We will see how classy they are then.
